Opening times
The American Museum & Gardens is open Tuesday to Sunday each week from mid-February to the end of December each year. We are also open on Bank Holidays and Mondays during Bath & North East Somerset school holidays.
The specific opening times for different parts of our site are:
Car park, Exhibition Gallery, Gardens, Gallery Shop: 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
American Garden Deli: 10am–4pm
Museum: 11am–4pm (last entry 3pm)
Admission
Day admission tickets give entry to the museum, exhibition gallery, gardens, deli and gallery shop. Tickets can be booked in person at the ticket office and online. Alternatively, our great value annual membership gives unlimited free entry to the site when we are open, plus many more special benefits.

*Ticket price includes a voluntary donation. Admission tickets purchased online include a voluntary donation with an option to choose Gift Aid. If you can, please Gift Aid your ticket. If you would like to purchase admission tickets without giving a donation, please speak to our team in the ticket office on arrival.

Current offers on admission
If you would like to take advantage of one of these discounts on your tickets, please purchase in person at the ticket office. Please bring the relevant discount card, voucher, ID or membership card with you.

25% discount on normal admission prices to the Discovery Card holder (plus accompanying children under 17)
B&NES Discovery Card holders should also bring a current Council Tax bill, utilities bill or bank statement as proof of address if your card has expired and you have been unable to renew it. Unfortunately, photocard driving licenses cannot be used as proof of residence as they are not always updated if a person moves outside the area.

Free garden entry (member 1 only for joint memberships) applies Wednesdays and Thursdays between 15 February – 30 June and 1 September – 31 December when open. Between 1 July – 31 August discounted ticket prices only applies on Thursdays. Bring your RHS membership card to receive this discount.

50% discount on normal admission prices for named card holder.
What is Gift Aid?
If you are a UK tax payer, choosing Gift Aid for your admission ticket or membership will make it grow by a further 25%, as the Museum is able to claim the tax back on the whole amount paid.
